Rooted in community, abundance, and inclusivity.

The Local Garden at Evergreen is a partnership between The Local Church and the Chatham Pride Alliance — two communities who believe that planting something together is one of the most honest acts of love a neighborhood can offer. Rooted in an ancient invitation to plant gardens and seek the flourishing of the place where you live, this garden is a space for healing, care, and the kind of prayer that happens when your hands are in the soil. You don't have to be a church person. You don't have to know what you're doing. You just have to show up — and we'll grow something worth growing.

The Local Garden has been part of the Evergreen Campus for eleven seasons. That's eleven years of neighbors showing up, putting things in the ground, and watching them grow. What gets harvested here goes back into the community—because "love where you are" was never just a slogan.
