A Community Poetry Project

In a world that feels loud and unsteady, we’re making space this Lent for poetry as prayer. As part of our Reenchanted journey, we’re inviting you to submit original poems that respond honestly to world events—words of lament, hope, protest, longing, and trust. Together with our friends at Chapel in the Pines Presbyterian Church and across the community, we’ll share and compile these submissions into a printed booklet to share during the Easter season.

If you have questions about the project, email Wendy Smith or Susie Scott.

Each writer may submit up to three poems or prayers. Entries must be original (no AI, ChatGPT, etc.) and reflect the project’s themes.
The submission deadline is March 29, 2026.

To help you get started, join us for a Poetry Writing Workshop led by Rev. Dr. Andrew Taylor-Troutman on Thursday, March 5, at 6:30 p.m. at Chapel in the Pines or online via Zoom. Whether you’ve written for years or never before, you’re invited to add your voice. Request the Zoom link here.
